Lake life on Table Rock Lake
Table Rock Lake is shimmering in the bright summer sun, as the longest days of the year warm the water. It’s a great day to enjoy the lake with it’s 745 miles of coastline. Yes, it’s a big lake with lots of area to explore by pontoon boat, house boat, speed boat, kayak or whatever can float!
Walking to the dock you notice a flock of geese on their morning flight. Today is fun fishing day, so the first thing to do is drive the boat to Table Rock Lake marina for fuel, bait and a few snacks for the morning fishing trip.
Before leaving the marina, it’s a must to check life preservers and the weather forecast for the day. The weather app is downloaded to give storm alerts if needed. Now that you have bait, fuel for the boat and snacks, it’s time to find that perfect spot to fish. Let’s go!
Boaters with their children are out for a day of fun on the lake. The kayakers are paddling along the shoreline of Table Rock Lake. Kayaking has become a favorite choice for fishing also.
The coves of Table Rock Lake are popular for summer bluegill and sunfish , as well as providing shade for fishing. It’s also a nice place to get out of the boat wakes on busy holiday weekends. When the lake was created, the hardwood trees eventually fell and provide the perfect habitat for the fish to hide.
Crickets and worms are a favorite of the bluegill, sunfish and goggle eye. Dropping your line to the bottom near one of the brush piles might just be the perfect temptation for that hungry bluegill when they see that cricket or worm.
After catching tonight’s dinner for the fish fry, head back to Table Rock marina for Danna’s BBQ. Pork, beef, huge baked potatoes and great salads await the hungry boaters and fishers!
Table Rock Lake is so beautiful for boating, swimming and viewing, this is the lake front life you would like? Canoeing, kayaking, diving, parasailing or just cruising on the lake is a short walk from your home.
